Do you often find yourself thinking, ‘I’m bored.’?
When we’re young, we look to our parents to tell us what to do. This slowly transitions to teachers and then bosses giving us orders. So, conventionally we’re trained to be passive.
However, being too passive and just waiting around for people to tell you what to do may not serve you very well! As said by Farrah Gray, “Build your own dreams, or someone else will hire you to build theirs.”
It’s time we ditch the passivity and adopt a more active approach to life!
Here’s how:
Step 1: Take responsibility for your life.
You must realize that you have take the driving wheel of your life. Recognize that everything that will ever happen or not happen in your life is based on your decision. What do you want for yourself? You need to make it happen!
Step 2: Become a lifelong learner
Curiosity is one attribute that will take you further than most. So keep learning and skilling up in whatever domain interests you! Once you realize the sheer magnitude of information that’s out there, you can never be bored!
Step 3: Take action on your knowledge.
As said by Napolean Hill, “knowledge is only potential power.” What you know isn’t the concern; it’s about what you actually do with your knowledge!
Remember — your life will become what you make of it. So read books, skill up, learn new things, and commit to making your life a masterpiece.
“There’s no time to be bored in a world as beautiful as this.”
